AN XMAS BLOG FROM JEBEDIAH

Hey there Jebs fans!

Well we are now all home and slowly recovering from our short sojourn through Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide, all fantastickly fun gigs with great crowds so thanks to everyone who came along, sang along and all the rest. We must also make mention of the young lads from the Novocaines who did a sterling job at all three shows and were an absolute pleasure to have on the road! Now we shall take a quick break over Christmas before hitting up Pyramid and Soundscape Festivals in Melbourne on New Years Eve and Hobart on Jan 8th respectively.

While in Sydney we also found time to shoot a video clip for the next single which should be out and about very early next year.  The clip is your run of the mill boy/girl/monster story including epic action sequences shot above the towering skyscrapers of a non-descript Japanese megalopolis.

Of course with our new album “Kosciuszko”, (a Polish name which we’re told is properly pronounced “Kosh-shoos-ko”, for those of you who wish to be the clueist kids at the water cooler) out in April 2011 there will be stack more live shows to be played throughout next year all across our great brown land.

Now that the end of the year is upon us your favourite radio station and ours, Triple J, will be conducting their annual Hottest 100 poll and yep, you guessed it, we would love for you to vote for "Lost My Nerve" Voting opens on Monday December 20th over at the Triple J website http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/hottest100/10/ and if you save or capture or keep evidence somehow of you having voted for us and send it through to info@jebediah.net you will go in to the running for an amazing Jebediah prize pack! Having recently moved offices, we uncovered in the process an incredible amount of old and rare merchandise and cd's and vinyl stretching back over fifteen years and now we want to give a little away.

While on that subject, one thing we didn't uncover were photo's! If anybody out there has any photos of the band that they would be happy for us to put up on our website, (don't worry, you will be fully credited) then please send them through to info@jebediah.net. We are sure there is a pretty impressive documentation of hair styles, colours and strange fashion decisions that just need to be displayed for all to see and laugh at!

Finally, a special community message from all of us at Jebediah HQ. Christmas and its accompanying holidays can sometimes be a trying family occasion, often involving repetitive storytelling from our elders and annoying time spent with siblings or weird cousins that can drive one to drink ill-advised amounts of alcohol in order to cope. Conversely, the holiday season can be a time where we all wish to celebrate so much our heads explode and we wake up in random gardens. Whatever you do please do it safely because next year is going to be the greatest year in the history of mankind, (or thereabouts).
