What is the alien voice saying at the beginning of Invaders?
If you play the intro to Invaders backwards there is a secret message contained in the alien voice! :) - Very cool! "And then they will be gone, and then they will be gone, and all earthlings, all earthlings, we have arrived, all earthlings!"
03. Ask Jebs
Me and my friends have decided to back our own band a few months ago but
the other guitarist is really out of control he just won't stop playing
when we try to show him something or tell him to sto[p so yeah like what
advice would u give to over come something like this should we get rid of
him cause he isn't that good either?
Well Rob I think you've answered your own question. If he was really good our advice would be let him go nuts and try and keep up but it seems like you already know what you want to do. Just make sure that no one tells him straight or to his face in keeping with the great rock and roll tradition.
ok. i am starting to get really frustrated. where are all of the all ages concerts in perth these days!!???
jeb!!!! what are you doing?? i still have not seen bob evans yet KEVIN!!!! as all your concerts are over age!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There will be all ages concerts organised where possible on the album run. I can almost guarantee there will be an all ages in Perth to co incide with the release of Braxton Hicks. We want to do them, really, they just aren't easy to organise and are getting harder for us to do. As for Bob, you are right, he has never done an all ages gig. For some reason he doesn't really think he has much teen appeal.
What is your most fave coolest t-shirt you would say you own?
The answer to this changes all the time.
I know it really aggrevates a lot of bands how successful CD burning is, and it really rips off them as well, in a time where it is a lot harder to make money out of albums (according to GMA), I was wondering how does Jebediah in particular about being ripped off? This is actually for a university magazine, so your reply may be published, and hopefully, we can get a few more people to think about what they are doing when they burn your CDs.
Well, obviously we would like to sell more records and burning probably hampers that to a degree but the technology is there so why wouldn't people use it? It's like buying blank tapes and taping CD's. We've never made any money from record sales anyway, we've survived off touring and playing shows. We would also like to think that CD burning may expose people to our music more readily and encourage them to buy the real thing if they decide they like it. I suppose it is a real problem but there are positives to it aswell.
If you could play any sport for a whole day with all your mates and a couple of cases of beer what would it be?
Cricket. It is by far the most social of sports that we like. All the fielders can nurse beers. There is a lot of standing around. It's leisurely. Good times are certain.
Kev what happend to your red telecaster i haven't seen it for ages? and what model is your rickenbacher?
The telecaster is in a severe state of disrepair having been severely beaten at a Ha Ha's show. The model of the Ricky? Wouldn't have a clue but it's not vintage or anything, it's only about 4 years old so it's a new version of the one that's been around for yonkers - see John Lennon and Paul Weller.
What does the rune stone necklaces (that looks like a .b.) that's been
seen worn my kevin, mean?
It's for strength.
Whats the significance of NDC?
It's code for Indie Scene.
Where is the best place to sit with a guitar and play for hours?
The sunroom in my house, but anywhere that is private does the job nicely if I'm in the mood.
Which one of your video's is your favourite / most fun to film?
We've all enjoyed different clips for different reasons. We all really loved First Time. It was fun to film and turned out really well. Harpoon would be a bit of a fave, for the way it looked. Ofcourse Jerks of Attention was great fun and our first one and has all our friends in it and is a little souvenier of a great point in time.
Why have the Jebs always been so slack with updating their web site!!??
You'll need to give us a while to answer that.

05. Slightly Odway
Are there any rare Jebediah releases? There is a lot of Jebediah rarities. All of their releases have come out on limited edition vinyl. The Vinyl version of "Slightly OdWay" contains a bonus hidden track, a new version of Tracksuit, recorded with Neill King, it is Track 6. The Asian version of Slightly Odway also contains Tracksuit and Monument as well as a printed copy of the lyrics. For a complete listing of Jebediah rarities, visit the discography section.
What the hell is that "Slightly Odd Way" song about?
The B-side "Slightly Odd Way" (from Military Strongmen single) is the just the bass and voice tracks from the last chorus of "You". If you turn it up, ("Slightly Odd Way") and listen real close you can hear the guitar tracks from "You".
What's on the cover of the Military Strongmen single?
The Astor Theatre in Perth (Mount Lawley)
What's with all the alien references?
I have no idea, but Chris is a Star Wars fanatic and has every Star Wars figurine except for one very rare one.
What's with the bowling green on the front of Slightly Odway?
The bowling green on the artwork to Slightly Odway is Kardinya Bowling Club where Vanessa's grandparents play.
Where was the Jerks of Attention video clip filmed and who are all the people in it?
The Jerks video was filmed in Kevin and Al's house. The band was in Kevin's bedroom. Alistair was the guy who baked the cake and the other house mates were in the video, along with a bunch of friends and the film crew.
The name of the guy chained up in the laundry (red hair!) is Nick Cowie. He is a Jebediah photographer (and there are HEAPS of his pictures on this site). Nick Cowie makes another appearance in the Teflon video clip (he's got the sink!)
Who are the backing singers on La Di Dada?
The backing singers on "La Di Dada" include members of Sandpit and Fur as well as Heath, Jeb's manager! The members of Something For Kate were also supposed to attend but had other commitments.
Who is the guy on the Jerks of Attention CD?
His name is Alistair. He lives with Kevin. He is also in the Jerks of Attention video clip (he's the one who cooks the cake).
Who took the photo for the Jerks of Attention cover?
It's a photograph taken by Chris. Rumour has it that it's his family's holiday home where Chris, Kevin and friends went for school leavers and listened to "the stone roses" and "archers of loaf", and hence wrote the song.
Who took the photo on the cover of the Harpoon EP?
It was taken by Kevin and Brett's Dad, it's a picture from a ship, as people board it from ice.
06. Self Titled Album
How long did the album take to record? We tracked for about 3.5 weeks and mixed for about 2 weeks in June/July this year.
Where was Jebediah's 3rd album recorded?
Mangrove Recording Studios (about an hour out of Sydney)
